Rain, Pool & Epcot Day

Day 3 turned out to be a little different due mainly to rain. We thought we might end up doing things different on this day anyway, but the rain just confirmed our plans. So... we stuck around the resort in the AM until there was a break in the stormy weather. While we waited, Thomas found much entertainment in the simple things. For example, here on the balcony... wet handprints on the window did the trick.
Notice also he is covered in Mickey stickers. It seems that every where we went, people were giving him these stickers - this morning, we used them all up!
Once we got the break in the stormy weather, we headed down to the BIG pool. This was a really neat one because it had a zero entry (aka: beach like) pool entrance. Thomas loved the fact that he could just walk right into the pool. He also really liked the frogs that spit water out from the rock wall, the toddler water slide (oh how I wish I could have gotten pictures of that for you) and just plain swimming around!

After some pool time, we had lunch up at the resort cafe and then headed back to the condo for nap time (all of us crashed out). In the afternoon, things really were alittle nicer in terms of weather, so we wanted to head over to Epcot for the rest of the day & the evening hours (we also hoped to catch the fireworks there). Here we after the Nemo & Friends ride looking at all of the different kinds of fish. Thomas LOVES fish - he even liked all of the Sea Snakes... oh, gross!
Just taking a quick break... he is actually posing for a picture with his Mickey shirt (compliments of the hand-me-downs from cousin Jake). What a cutie!
For dinner, we decided to eat in "Japan" at Toyko Dining. Here is Thomas enjoying his chopsticks and coloring (right onto the table... thank god it erased with the wipe of a finger).
After dinner, the boys in their weather gear (ha-ha) looking at the big Koi fish (Japanese Carp) in the pond.
Moving along, we ended up in "Germany" a short while later only to find Thomas' favorite attraction of the entire trip - the minature town complete with operating Choo-Choo train. I'm pretty sure his facial expressions & pure gaze will tell you how much he liked it. It was really tough pulling him away from this one.

Playing some "African" drums - not bad for a beginner, but we will NOT be getting a drum set in the future teenage years. My ears will not be able to stand that.
Video Clip - As we were walking through "American Adventure" (aka: USA), a celebration concert was starting with songs by Bon Jovi. As soon as the music began, Thomas was all about dancing and clapping. Take a peek at this video footage with Thomas having fun with one of the Epcot workers. Warning - as I'm videoing this, I'm laughing so hard that I'm about to cry & pee my preggo pants. He is just too funny!
