Celebrating with Good Friends

On Saturday (July 4), we spent the late afternoon and evening hours over at my in-laws house and got to hang out with my mom and some other good friends. Nothing is better than some good BBQ, good company, some pool time, roasted marshmellows over an open fire, and some fireworks. Thomas even stayed up until 9:15, but crashed hard on the short drive home. Poor guy had too much excitement.

Today (July 5), we continued our celebration but with all of our RED HORSE good friends. We had another BBQ and pool party over at Jeff & Kim's dad's house. The kids had a great time swimming & playing, the girls got a chance to catch up and the boys probably just talked "smack" the entire time. With the next deployment only weeks away, this was a great time for us to get together before the boys roll out of town.

Kim is on toddler duty - actually she is loving playing with Thomas & Nikki. Once again, I'm sitting off to the side enjoying some R&R and it was really nice!
