the Bug & a Tease

Friday Night it started to snow.  Saturday morning the neighborhood was covered with the white stuff.  Ironically, Friday night our house was stricken with "the bug" and things went downhill fast.  The only one who wasn't sick was Brian and he was left to take care of all of us, clean up after all of us, and do EVERYTHING that he could to get us all back to good health.  I'll spare you the gross & disgusting details.

On that note, I do find it funny that the icky bug that put us all out of commission on Saturday mirrored the weather that hung around all day long...
... and the sunshine that warmed the air today was indicative of how much better we all felt {which is much, much better}.
I'm thinking Mother Nature is just plain teasing us.
I think yesterday was a big wake-up call for us with winter knocking on our door.  So, in true backwards style, we started raking up the leaves & getting the garage ready for our winter gear.
You know what a big pile of leaves means?
 FUN!

And to my surprise, my kiddos and the some of the neighbors wanted to bag all the leaves.
OK... you don't have to ask twice. :)
Feeling much better, my left-handed artist made good use of the driveway for his canvas.
 His Big Monster Truck!
Daddy & Marilyn pulled our the rain/wind protector for the running stroller & stretched it out.
Now the girls & I are ready for some morning runs, despite the inclement weather.
And finally, as a constant {and beautiful} reminder that Mother Nature is sending winter our way soon...
... the snow is creeping down the mountains & heading our way!
