When the snow flies...

As I said in my last post, the fall photo shoot was filled with snowflakes.
Here we are on the way home when things are still relatively *dry*...
... but an hour or so later, when the snow was really flying, we were covered with the white stuff!
Deep thoughts.
Working on making snowballs & snow angels.

Walking around in snow boots for the very first time.
She seemed to have a pretty good time... we might be in for a fun winter with this little girl!
The 3 munchkins

After making it through last winter {a record breaking year with 135" of snow}, I'm pretty sure that this upcoming winter will be much easier.  Not just because we aren't newly from Florida anymore, but because we've got some more organization to our Arctic room where all the winter gear is stored & also dropped after fun in the snow.

Hooks hung high for our stuff.
A homemade low bench (designed to fit over the floor/wall heater) for the kids to sit on to put on & take off snow gear.  Thanks Daddy!  Bonus?  Buckets underneath for the kids' shoes & boots.  Can you believe that we had NO seating last winter & we all just sat on the ground {or awkwardly jumped around on one foot}?  Yep.  Wasn't fun at all.
Low hooks for the kids to hang their stuff.
And because I needed a way for the kids to help maintain their stuff {hats & gloves}... this too is new this winter season.  Even Marilyn knows where her things go & she loves the pictures!
And there you have it - the Hecks are all geared up for Winter 2012/2013.  Bring it on Mother Nature... we are ready for your snow!
