Sunday morning at the park(s)

Sunday was grocery shopping day. But I hate dragging the kids all the way to base, making them schlepp through the store with me and then heading home with no fun at all. So... my compromise was to go to the airplane park AND the children's park on base before hitting the commissary. We had a really good time and my two were tuckered out when the whole trip was said and done with.

The airplane park complete with retired cargo & bomber planes as well as different helicoptors that have been very important to Air Force aviation history. Thomas loved it!
He even brought along his new helicoptor toy.
Abbigail, on the other hand, was more interested in the leaves.
That and the big hill that the two of them found. This proved entertaining for them (and me) as they ran and tumbled down the hill and then struggled to get back up. It was hilarious to see the two of them chasing each other up and down, falling along the way...

Abby especially loved it with Thomas!

Thomas "reading" the story behind this big plane. Doesn't he look like he really is paying attention and interested in the history?
Abby is a busy girl on the playground... climbing, crawling and trying to keep up with her big brother!
