Marilyn - 15 months old

Really?
15 months old already?

It really just seems like the other day we were settling in with a newborn, running on fumes (very little sleep), figuring out her little personality and savoring every sweet move she made.
We are still savoring all of Marilyn's sweet moves, but I find myself now running after her, cracking up at the things she does, trying to capture (both on film & in my memory) her cheesy, toothy grin with squinty eyes expression she makes when she is giddy with laughter, but also standing back and letting her just go & do & learn.
  • Favorite foods include pizza, bananas, any kind of noodles, ice cream, milk, juice, squeezable applesauce, cheese, go-gurts, orange slices, and PB&J.
  • She is not only crawling up & down the stairs, but she has decided that sliding down on her butt (like her brother & sister have taught her) is even more fun than sliding down on her belly.
  • Speaking of stairs, she also enjoys giving me slight heart attacks when she is at the top of stairs and she insists on using the handrail to take her first step down before she will sit or slide the rest of the way.
  • She runs.  Yep... and that means I have to run after the little booger.
  • She has always been a rock star sleeper - and continues that with pulling 11-12 hours straight sleep sessions + 2 hour nap daily.
  • She still has a night time bottle of {whole} milk.  The weaning of this last bottle is going to happen in the near future.
  • I have just recently tried introducing a regular cup at meal time with her {after she is done eating}.  If left to her own devices, the milk would be everywhere... so in the meantime... I will continue to do the work while she drinks.
  • She is wearing more & more size 18 months clothes each week.

  • Have I mentioned that she loves to climb?  Yep... stairs, onto chairs, over couches, on top of play tables.  If she has seen her brother or sister do it OR it just seems reasonable to this 15-month old... she is determined to climb it.
  • Case in point below.  This little ball of hot mess realized that she could get her shoes down from on top of her dresser by way of climbing up on her reading chair.
  Love you Marilyn Jane,
Mommy & Daddy
