The municipality of Anchorage has 10,946 acres of municipal parkland; 223 parks with 82 playgrounds; 250 miles of
trails and greenbelts linking neighborhoods with surrounding natural open spaces
and wildlife habitat (135 miles of paved trails); 110 athletic fields; 5 pools;
and 11 recreation facilities.
This city's park and recreation department is tremendous.
For us, the playgrounds and trails have been what we have really enjoyed so much.
Today was no different.
Shortly before lunch, we hit up another playground right in the middle of downtown.
As usual, the kids (and us) had a great time!
