Sermon

I've mentioned before about our dinner blessing/prayer that is said by Thomas each evening - but I have to say that I think he might just end up being a preacher one day who loves to give sermons.  Funny sermons at that!

We sat down for an early dinner tonight because we were driving Grannie & Pop to the airport for their return trip home to Florida.  As usual, I asked for the dinner blessing.  Thomas, in all of his seriousness, looked at everyone at the table and said, "Put your hands together & close your eyes."  As we dutifully followed (and remained composed with out giggling), he began his sermon blessing.

Thank you for this day.
Bless this food to our bodies.
Help us to really miss Grannie & Pop when they leave tonight.
Help us to love Grannie & Pop [even more] when they leave tonight.
Oh, and help us all to have shiny white teeth.
In Jesus' name.
Amen.

Yep, one second there are tears welling up in Pop's and my eyes and then... wham...
Thomas has us all giggling and that little bugger is serious as a heart attack.
