Our 2nd summer visitors arrived last week - Grannie and Pop! The last time we enjoyed their company was at Thanksgiving when they visited us and all of our snow. Thankfully now though they are here with warmer temps, opportunities to see lots of Alaska wildlife and their 3 grandchildren who are missing them even more.
Because baby girl really hasn't had a chance to get to know Grannie and Pop-Pop like Thomas and Abbigail has for obvious reasons (she moved away from them when she was only 8 weeks old), she smiled a lot at them when they arrived, but kept a safe distance as she watched her brother and sister giggle, laugh and get lots of loves from them.
Grannie's little girl.
What has been too precious is hearing Abby call her Grannie by name... "Nawni"
Marilyn's safe spot for the first day was in Mommy's arms and lap!
Thomas hasn't stopped smiling since Grannie & Pop-Pop arrived.
He has told a million "Knock, Knock" jokes and they have graciously laughed at all of them.
He has shared tons of super hero stories and they both have listened attentively.
He has cuddled with his Pop and given lots of kisses to his Grannie - all week long!
There is something special about these two guys together...
... but Abby made sure she was in on all the fun and games too!
In preparation for our trip to Seward this week, Thomas got serious about chopp'in wood with Dad & Pop-Pop so we would be ready for some camp fires!
Abby made sure my rain boots fit right and were ready for our fishing trip out into the Gulf of Alaska!
And look who finally warmed up & snuggled up to her Pop-Pop...
... and gave kisses & smooches...
... and couldn't get enough of him.
Just like her older brother and sister - Marilyn fell in love with Pop-Pop.
