It's starting to look a lot like Christmas

"Dear Santa" letters have been written,
and re-written (more than a few times) to be perfect,
colored pictures were added as a special touch,
and Abby added some extra love on the back of hers (don't you love how our family looks?)
I hope Santa loves it as much as I do.
All eyes have been on Daddy's childhood train that he put up around the tree this weekend.
The kids (big and small) love it!

For the last few days, we've dipped back down to negative numbers and have hardly seen it warmer than zero.  Albeit it's cold, it is absolutely beautiful.  Beautifully frozen.

We've spent much of the holiday weekend baking up lots of yummy cookies for the young, unaccompanied troops here on base this holiday season.

I had two awesome helpers in the kitchen adding their sweet sugar...
and unwrapping dozens of Hersey Kisses for our Peanut Butter Blossoms.  Wouldn't you know that she didn't eat one. single. yummy. morsel. while on duty!
I can assure you that these three sweet, smiling faces are super excited that it's starting to look a lot like Christmas!
