Daddy & Thomas got adventurous this morning - they strapped on each of their new snowshoes, got a handle on how they worked (apparently pretty simple) and started trekking around the neighborhood. They even headed over to the sledding hill (no was on it) and figured out how to go up & down stepping sideways so as not to fall.
Daddy's report was that he did pretty good (especially for a Florida boy). But as with all new things Thomas has been trying, it's fast & furious with him and from time-to-time needs to be reminded to slow down to learn the basics. Maybe the boys will try to get some snowshoeing in each day this coming week for some good practice and then Thomas might be a little more ready for his next winter fun... downhill skiing. Maybe Mommy can take the reins on that one and enjoy a little outdoor fun with him on the hill.
