There is nothing better...

... than the sweetness & happiness of your own children. Because it was supposed to be gorgeous this morning (uppper 70s and lower 80s with little humidity), I knew we had to do something outside that would be lots of fun together. So, we started with a late breakfast at McDonalds where we enjoyed eating on the outdoor patio and good conversation. Yeap... good conversation with my 3 and 1 year old respectively. Nana was able to join us also.

Afterwards, we headed across the street to the Navarre Children's Waterpark. It was not crowded at all and the water was super. Lots of squeels and giggles by Abby and tons more splashing by Thomas made my morning great.

After we were wet and exhausted, everyone dried off and got dressed. We hit the playground for a few minutes and ran around in the green grass and enjoyed the weather. However, what started as a stroll along the small sandy beach on the Sound...

... became much more interesting & appealing to all little ones.

Thomas is the one we can blame for what would become an impromptu swim in the Santa Rosa Sound - clothes and all. It was too funny.

Even Abbigail loved the sand in her toes...

... and fingers.

What a great way to start a birthday? Of course by now my two little ones are snoozing away exhausted from the morning adventure. More to come after naptime is over...
