The 2nd part of our Northern vacation landed us in Northern VA at my dad's house... "Hotel Sullivan" as I like to call it. From the moment we arrived, Grandma Liz had a gourmet lunch prepared and waiting for us as well as all the toys & gadgets little kids could ever imagine playing with. There was no doubt that Thomas & Abbigail were in heaven with the new adventures that stairs had to offer (which we do not have in our house) and all the playgrounds in walking distance from their house. There were even more adventures that I will add on later. Until then...
Thomas trying to keep up with Grandpa down the stairs
The first morning... Daddy kicked back (using his new iPhone) and every possible toy out being played with).
Abby found a new friend...
... but she had no idea what a blue monkey was?
Grandma Liz has every art supply known to man for little kids so there was plenty of drawing, painting, erasing, coloring, etc being down while we were there. The really nice thing was she set up the easel in the kitchen so it was always being used by the kids... now if I could only figure out how to set mine up in my kitchen yet keep it neatly tucked out of the way - then I would be set.
Even Abby loved holding (& biting) on to the markers... lids of course closed tight.
One of Grandma Liz's favorite things to do with the kids.... reading a good book.
