Part I: Family

The main reason we travelled to MD this summer was for Thomas & Abbigail to visit their grandparents (Brian Sr. and Mary Jane). Because of the geographic difference, we are not able to see each other very often at all. Matter of fact, this was their first time meeting Abby so we consider it a very important visit. Of course the visits are never long enough - 3 nights really doesn't cut it. On top of that, we didn't even find the time to take Thomas down to the Inner Harbor to the most amazing Aquarium there... I know he would have loved it! But back to the main reason we traveled north - FAMILY!

We were blessed to not only visit with Grandma & Grandpa Heck, but as well we got to spend time with Uncle Travis, Aunt Kady (and soon-to-be-Uncle David), and Brian's Aunt Brenda. We are truely grateful for them making time in their schedules and in most cases, traveling the distance just to be in Baltimore with us... Thank you!

Here is a glimpse at some of the Heck Family... Aunt Kady, Aunt Brenda & Abbigail
Abbigail was VERY cozy in Aunt Brenda's arms for quite some time... she was not interested in being put down at all. Even Aunt Kady wasn't going to get to have a goodbye hug from her... a kiss would have to do.
See... Abby even gave Grandpa a "you must be crazy" look... I'm not getting out of my cozy holding chair with Aunt Brenda. Aunt Brenda made quite the impression on Abby.
The Florida Hecks...
... plus Grandpa... enjoying some Snowballs on the front porch. Even Abby was in on the action sharing with Mommy.

I love this picture...
Thank you so much for the wonderful time we had; the good food (ohhhh, yummy crab cakes for dinner and who could forget the late night Salmon Ball for munchies MJ) and the incredible company. Nothing is more important than the love you show your family. Despite hiccups, misunderstandings, & distance... no matter who you are... remembering how special loved ones are is a blessing.
