Friday Night Leftovers (DIY is so much better version)

Hi Friday.  Where did this week go?  I feel like I repeat this all the time.
  • Family was here visiting this last week.  Much fun was had by our munchkins with grandparents and an auntie & cousin who they rarely get to see.  It certainly warmed our hearts for them to just enjoy time together before our impending move north.
  • Brian is at it again building something in our backyard in the insanely HOT summer weather.  You would think he would do this more in the winter months?  Nope... he didn't get the memo.  Can't complain though - the man is the hardest working person I know.
  • As mentioned earlier, the breast pump has yielded some interesting conversation between me & the kids.  Abby just assumes it is a baby bottle holder for her dollies.  The picture below captures that:
  • I'm absolutely irritated that I paid money for the kids to be in swim lessons and they have ultimately turned out to be crap.  Well, not the parent/tot class that Abby is in... but definately the Thomas' class.  Maybe it's because I was a Red Cross Swim Instructor for years with all ages of kids and I'm pretty critical on teaching kids anything.  I'll spare any further details, but for the record Brian also thought it was a waste of time so I know it can't just be me.  Regardless... we have a few weeks left in Florida and I think we will just continue the "DIY Heck Swim School" at Grannie's & Nana's pools.
  • The house is a mess with new birthday toys, old toys and all of our crap that we are moving about in preparation for the packers to arrive in 9 days.  Auuuughhhhhh.
  • I'm pissed at myself that I haven't figured out how to work in "exercise" time yet in my schedule.  I'm debating on whether it should be at the a$$ crack of dawn after Marilyn's early morning feeding (between 4-5 am and before Daddy goes to work) or at night after all the kids have gone to bed (after 9 pm).  Either one is not ideal but it is a necessary evil.
  • On a postitive note, I cleared out all of my maternity clothes yesterday and donated them to a pregnant friend.  OH what a wonderful feeling!
  • Looking forward to a relaxing Father's Day with Daddy & the kids on Sunday.  To all the families who aren't able to be with their loved one this weekend... lots of love & hugs for you.

I totaly support you on the DIY swim lessons. You may come across something better once you move. If the current class is not working, don't waste your time. Time is too precious. As for working out... ...I say morning, because it will keep your metabolism revved up for a couple hours (a.k.a while you are awake and eating). If you work out in the evening, you may have a tough time getting to sleep and you never know how early a kiddo may wake you up. Smooches!
