Farm Animals & Steam Engines

More California Adventures shared...

On yet another gorgeous day in California (can you see a pattern here?), Aunt Jackie and Uncle Tom decided that it would be a lot of fun to take the kids to one of the near by regional parks nestled up in the hills of Berkley (near Oakland). We even got to enjoy the company of my cousins Kristen and Emily.  What a great afternoon it turned out to be... It began with a kid friendly farm with plenty of animals to feed.

We were sure to bring lots of celery to feed the animals...
I don't think this cow was happy when Thomas said "Sorry Charlie, no more for you."  He was giving Thomas the stare down.

Even the piggies got to enjoy a celery stalk or two.  Thomas & Abby certainly took note of how fat they were and how dirty they were.  I think they were in awe actually.

A baby goat that was just born the night before.

The afternoon ended with a ride on a old steam engine train that winds around part of the regional park.  The kids' expressions were priceless as they enjoyed every minute of waiting for it to arrive, riding in one of the passenger cars and then collapsing from all the excitement on the way home in the car.

And yet another busy and exciting day of fun while visiting California.
Only one more day of adventures to share - will try to get that up and posted by this weekend.
