About half way through our visit to California, we were blessed to have the chance to visit and stay with my Aunt Jackie & Uncle Tom (my dad's older brother) and also visit with my cousins Kristen, Kerrin, & Jake. The Sullivan clan only lives a few miles away from my other aunt, uncle & cousins so it made the pack up and move fairly simple and easy.
Having only met Thomas a few years ago, Aunt Jackie & Uncle Tom were thrilled to see him again but also to finally meet the Heck girls. We enjoyed a several days at their house just relaxing, playing, catching up on family stories and, of course, the beautiful CA weather. From the moment we walked into their house, the kids were mesmerized by the novelty toys that Aunt Jackie saved from way back when my cousins were young and had pulled out of storage just for them to play with ... I'm thinking they date back certainly to the 1970s & 80s.
A local park where the kids enjoyed the playground, the pond & plenty of grass to run around on!

In the distance (facing west) is downtown Oakland, San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz & San Francisco Bay.

Still more pictures of the California visit are coming. Stay tuned...
