Grandpa's Visit

This weekend we were busy enjoying another visit from Grandpa (Mike). It is always a laid back, relaxing weekend when he comes down from DC and that is always a good thing. There is never any pressure to run around and do the tourist thing... its just catching up and winding down. And really... it's all about the kids and spending time with them because his visits are far and few between. The last time he was down was shortly before Thanksgiving and he was "wowed" by how much they have grown in just 4 months. OK... pictures are in reverse order of the weekend - they start with this morning and go back to Friday. Enjoy...

After dropping Grandpa off at the Destin Airport this morning, we decided to stop by McDonalds and enjoy some breakfast followed by the indoor playground. Whether it was baby food or pancakes, the troops were happy and content despite the rainy day so far.

Saturday was beautiful and so we tried to spend a lot of the day outside getting some sun and fresh air. Abby is definately a fan of grass now... in her fingers, in her hands, and even in her mouth. Auuughhhh!

In the afternoon, we headed to Pensacola to the famous Joe Pattys Seafood for my dad to stock up on Gulf Shrimp as well as for me to start a ample supply back up now that the chef of the family will be home soon. My dad always brings an empty cooler and never leaves with less than 20 lbs of shrimpers. Me on the other hand only got 4 lbs and some lump crab meat. I have access to it all the time hense the smaller purchase.

Mommy's "shrimp helper"
even saw lots of LOBSTERS!!!
Friday night... enjoying Grandpa's visit
Giving kisses and hugs goodnight...
