Yums, Music and Caged Animals

As promised... pictures & (short) stories from the week:

Last weekend, here are two hungry hippos who were enjoying an afternoon snack on Saturday.
We are starting to shift things from room to room as we make room for a new baby, so things aren't always "in their place."  Hence the picnic table in the front entry and 3 containers of baby clothes in the dining room.
Please forgive a family in limbo...

Daddy finally had some time to create a new mount on the back of a flat screen TV that we have had for a while... long story as to why the mount didn't fit, but the good news is we now have another TV for the kids to watch their movies/shows on in the "temporary playroom."
The yellow Handy Manny hat is compliments of Thomas & Abby who thought it was fitting while he worked.
Daddy gladly obliged.
Last weekend we also had a great opportunity to have dinner with good friends Laura & Patrick (along with baby Emory)...
As you can see, the kids had a great time entertaining themselves musically with the piano.
It certainly was a good time - although painful to listen to.
Finally, Thursday night we had a cheap pizza night with another friend, Karen and got a chance to meet her new little puppy dog.
Notice the caged animals?
Can you tell the kids were lov'in not only the puppy but the kennel as well?
We used to have one of these.  Why did I get rid of it when it clearly was a source of entertainment for the kids?
Clearly I was not thinking straight.
