Just having a good time

Today was a good day with just the 3 of us hanging out, playing, painting, exploring outside and goofing off... enjoy!

Abby is really starting to like being on the floor on her tummy and exploring the things that are immediately around her. She is always looking for where Thomas and Ziggy are so that she can be in on the action though... nosey girl.

We got some painting in today - 1st project was to paint Lightning McQueen's Garage (that Grannie cut out of a left over box Christmas morning). It was too cold this morning to take it outside so we made due with the foyer as our art studio... thank goodness for washable paint.

He was very much into mixing colors. He never stops amazing me with what he knows... he knew what colors are needed to make purple, green, and orange. He "wows" me most days and it just cracks me up.
2nd project... good old fashion "easel painting". I think I need to buy him a smock to cover his clothes though as well as some bigger paint brushes. But our new paint cups with cover lids are definately one of my favorite cheap purchases for Christmas ($3) and you keep the paint right in there with very little clean up. Loved it!
Thomas loves PB&J sandwiches. He also loves sliced apples. At lunch today I introduced him to apples with peanut butter. Can you tell he now has a new favorite snack?

Abby loving her sweet potatoes. Just like her brother, this was her 1st veggie that we introduced to her and she is a HUGE fan. We have recently added applesauce & bananas and this next week will be green beans... hmmm... yum!

Video Clip - Saying his "ABCs" while he reads an alphabet book. Try to follow along... and try not to giggle to hard, especially with "L" through "P". He really can identify all of his letters although he mixes up "V" and "Y" when he sees them. Not too shabby and way too cute!
