And then he Smiled...

Mommy says that I am growing up so quickly that she can't believe her eyes. I really impressed her this week when I started smiling at her (and everyone else). I love looking around and seeing what is going on. I especially like to listen to music and look at my toys that have neat colors on them.

Getting ALL of the attention!

This was a very busy weekend for us. I got to meet my Grandpa Mike & Grandma "Z" for the first time when they came down from D.C.! Boy, I sure am spoiled because they brought lots of toys with them ALL for me! I also got to see Aunt Jen again...we always have so much fun together! Everyone was laughing this weekend when they realized that I looked like an old man because I'm starting to lose some of my dark hair that I was born with. I hope I still look like daddy even after I go bald. The weekend finished off with mommy & me saying goodbye to daddy...he had to go TDY with the rest of the RED HORSE guys! But not to worry, mommy is planning a short trip for us to go see him soon!

1 month old & growing

Can you believe it? I am 1 month old today and growing like a weed! Mommy & Daddy tell me that they can't even remember what things were like without me. I have just started following things with my eyes that are moving around and also I just started playing on my "little Einstein" play mat - I love all of the colors and toys that are on it!

My 1st Fourth of July

Mommy, Daddy, Nana and me went to Tallahassee on the 4th of July to visit Aunt Jen and Uncle Ash and we had a lot of fun. Aunt Jen had not seen me since I was born (only a few hours old) and I had never met Uncle Ash before. Daddy cooked up some of his famous crab cakes & crab soup for dinner while we were there. None for me (but soon enough)!

All four of the Heck boys on a walk one evening. This is our nightly routine. Notice that Booker is watching the birds and squirrels and Zig is smiling for the camera.

Nana time & Bath time

I'm becoming more and more alert everyday...matter of fact, I know very well when mommy & daddy are nearby because I can recognize their voices.
Nana and me getting cozy!

Getting clean with mommy and then towel time with daddy!
