This week last year, we were preparing for Daddy to return home from an 8-month long deployment in Afghanistan.
He left when Abbigail was just 3 weeks old. Thomas was 26 months old.
He missed birthdays, a scarey hospital stay for Abby, many holidays, even more baby & preschool milestones.
He missed night time kisses & hugs.
He missed a lot.
But then he returned home.
Safely.
Abby was 8.5 months old. Thomas was almost 3 years old.
And life soon returned back to normal for all of us...
because Daddy was home (again).
