We stopped into P~Nuts Barber Shop today for Thomas' haircut.
While he was in the chair, Abby surprised me by agreeing to have Ms. Sue paint her nails while we waited.
Mind you, Abby has never had her nails painted.
Furthermore, Abby is my kid that has her guard up with everyone; it's like she has a "stranger danger" radar on all the time. If she doesn't know you, chances are she will not be giving you the time of day.
So, to let Ms. Sue step right in & be in her personal bubble while she painted nails was shocking to say the least.
Ms. Sue even got Abby to sit up in the barber chair (which is also a first);
I told her that if she could get Abby to sit still while she trimmed her hair (which would also have been a first), then she would be my hero...
... but Abby was not having ANYTHING to do with getting a haircut today.
So, Ms. Sue (who is a natural with kids) tried Plan "B" and pulled out the craft table and crayons and her Abby were having a great time coloring and talking.
Good diversion Ms. Sue!
This barber shop may not be a kid salon, but how much better does it get than this for your kids?
Thomas is watching cartoons on a big screen TV in front of him.
Abby had 3 ladies waiting on her hand & foot.
All of them are spoiled!
